We know that running your daily operations is a full time job on its own, and that worrying about the status of your pest control is not something you’d like added to your workload.
So you may be asking yourself what a pest control company like Rentokil has to offer that both incorporates innovation and lets you get on with the more important aspects of business. Introducing our bespoke online, real-time reporting and analysis pest management application: myRentokil.
What is myRentokil and what are the benefits?
At face value, myRentokil is an online pest management system that was designed for you - our customers - to have a multi device reporting and analysis application that is easy to use and provides real-time data that is accurate and always available. You can download a quick reference guide to myRentokil here:
The biggest benefit you will reap from diving deeper into the application is the ability to be more prepared for audits.
Audits and myRentokil:
We know that pest control audits can be stressful! They are strenuous, time consuming and usually paper heavy. Archaic “hard copy” pest control files have made audits difficult for many reasons - missing paperwork, human error and illegible information to name just a few. But that’s no longer the case with an online reporting system like myRentokil. All the information you need to pass an audit is available in the portal. In addition, you will also be able to see activity trends on your site or across multiple sites, to access documents related to pest control and to automate reporting.

How does pest data data get captured?
Without getting too technical, our team of highly skilled technicians (also known as PCOs - Pest Control Officers) are each equipped with a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant, or handheld computer) and during the installation process each location, inspection point and pest control product is bar-coded.
From then on, at every service, the PCO will scan the bar-code with their PDA and enter a description of what was noted in the area or within the product on site. This information is captured in myRentokil, and will flow through to your myRentokil account once the service is complete. A full report of the PCO's findings will then be available for you on myRentokil.
Service reports are accurate, timely, neat and don’t go missing. Your service level agreement - which is, by most auditing standards, required as part of your file - is loaded on the system. The PCO certificate is readily available, as are material safety data sheets, product labels and everything else you would need to pass your audits well.
The comprehensive dashboards provided by myRentokil are more suited to the needs of your business and auditing standards. The dashboards display a detailed site overview of recommendations, pest activity, pest trends and Rentokil visits, making your auditing process even smoother and easier. All dashboards are able to be filtered to your specific needs and specifications, and these reports are easily exported in PDF or Excel format for your convenience.
myRentokil is personal and secure:
The myRentokil system is set up utilising your email address and sites are accessed through the system only when allocated via an activation email. As a user of the application you will have access rights to your site/s.
This is how we protect your business by keeping your information secure and separate from the public. Rest assured that Rentokil has only the best intentions for you and your business, and our servers that hold the information about your sites are secure and are not open to the general public.
As and when our services occur on your site, our PCOs note down recommendations that need to be actioned to ensure your site is optimally managed for pest prevention. A PCO will generally note four types of recommendations:
- Proofing: holes and possible entry, nesting, and exit points for rodent activity
- Housekeeping: general cleaning that will minimise food and nesting materials for pests
- Stacking: stock that is obstructing treatment or access by PCOs to bait stations
- Stock Rotations: when stock is stagnant for a period of time it provides an optimal harbourage and nesting area for rodents
Why are recommendations important?
Firstly, recommendations are a key component of an integrated partnership - with the main objective of keeping your business pest free. It’s important to note that successful pest management is a marriage between the technical expertise provided by Rentokil and the willingness to implement recommendations by our customers.
Secondly, recommendations are visible warnings of current pest problems, or of possible future infestations. If no action is taken for any length of time, pest concerns can escalate and become a health and safety risk.
myRentokil keeps a database and dashboard of your recommendations onsite, and allows you to change the status of open recommendations depending on the corrective actions being taken on your premises. This gives you complete control, so when audit time arrives, you have nothing to worry about.
myRentokil Automated Reporting:
With myRentokil you have the ability to automate a once off or scheduled report. The report is tailored to your specific needs and reporting requirements, whether you just want to see the status of activity on site or you want a detailed report with recommendations, preparation usage, activity, open tasks, and visit dates. This is your application and reports can be automated to work for you.
With myRentokil you have as much - or as little - visibility as you need to run your business. Contact us for further information on how myRentokil can help you. Returning to work after a period of lockdown? Download this free checklist to help you return safely.
